In politics as well as in thinking, a true Idea does not unite, it separates. The aim of the series is to promote the hard work of division today, when historicist relativism, naive scientism, and dogmatic fundamentalism supplement each other. Such hard work, which brings necessary clarity and a sense of orientation, does not take place in an empty space. The point of reference which sustains it is the unique encounter between German idealism and Lacanian psychoanalysis. From within this horizon, the books in the series will deal not only with philosophy, but also will intervene at the levels of ideology critique, politics, and art theory.
